Gift Card FAQ

Wegmans Gift Cards are like cash and anyone holding the card can use it to purchase Wegmans merchandise and services (with the exceptions of Lottery tickets and Money Orders/Grams). Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash, except as required by law.

Gift Cards other than Wegmans; prepaid cards and store value cards ("Cards") have different terms, restrictions, fees and rules ("Terms"), which are (except where prohibited by law) subject to change. Carefully review each Card and Card carrier's Terms before your purchase of a Card. Cards may not be used until properly activated. By purchasing/activating a Card you agree to the Terms stated for that Card. Except as prohibited by law, sellers in general have no responsibility for Cards issued by others, and are not required to refund, replace or provide cash redemption for such Cards.

There are 3 ways that you can check the balance of your Gift Card:

1. During the time of checkout at any one of our store registers; when swiping a gift card, the payment terminal will ask if you would like a Balance Inquiry.
2. By visiting Wegmans.com/giftcards and entering the card number and PIN in the appropriate fields.
3. Wegmans Gift Card balances may also be checked by calling 1-800-255-9595, 24 hours a day; 7 days a week.

Wegmans gift cards do not decline in value; however, if a gift card has been inactive for 5 years, the funds or remaining funds would be submitted to New York State according to its Abandoned Property Law. For more information, visit http://www.osc.state.ny.us/ouf/index.htm.

Wegmans Gift Cards cannot be revalued.

Always protect your Gift Card as if it were cash. In the event that you do lose your card, call us at 1-800-848-1555. Please have your receipt or online order number available when calling. If we can identify the lost Gift Card number and it has not been redeemed or has some remaining value, we can cancel the original and issue a new Gift Card for that value.

2. Gift Cards may be purchased at any of our Wegmans Food Markets store locations for any amount up to $500.

Yes. Any single Gift Card may not exceed $500 ($500 if purchased at store level) in value.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Wegmans Shoppers Club for Business (contact your Account Representative for proper limit levels for ordering). We will charge the credit card when your order is shipped. All payments are in U.S. dollars.

We only accept credit cards with a billing address within the United States.

In order to protect you from unauthorized transactions, we require your credit card's Security Code.

MasterCard, VISA, and Discover: The Security Code is the 3-digit number printed on the signature panel on the back of your card. It immediately follows the account number.

American Express: The card Security Code (also referred to as the CID number) is printed above the imprinted card number on the front of the card (on either the left or right).

There is no sales tax charged on gift cards.

Gift Card orders can be shipped to any valid street address within the United States.

Gift Card orders that are received from our website will process and ship the following business day. There are several shipping options for your convenience ranging from standard mail to overnight delivery.

If your gift card shipped via USPS First Class, there is no tracking information available. If your Gift Card shipped via FedEx Ground or FedEx Next Day Air, you will receive an email with a tracking number once the Gift Card ships, with which you may access the current shipping status of your order.

You may use your gift card for products and services at any Wegmans Food Market store locations.

All gift cards will arrive active and ready to use.

All personal and financial information is transmitted using the https protocol over a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), utilizing commercial industry technology for consumer protection. Behind the scenes, your web browser is sending all personal and financial information over SSL. The Gift Card purchase process is regulated by PCI standards.
